Dylan wrote and … Dylan wrote and played like he did to sell records. Neil writes music and sings about things that he is truly passionate about. There was a documentary on Dylan a year or so ago and wow was I disappointed in him. He basically wanted to be Woody Guthrie and didn’t really care about any of that stuff he just thought it was cool.
Maybe I’m missing … Maybe I’m missing something, but I would take Neil Young over Bob Dylan any day. Equating those two never occurred to me till seeing this video, and I still don’t see it. Syd Barrett sums it up best for me in watch?v=uOokCdkIejk
First of all, I … First of all, I don’t think you’re capable of judging anyone’s music in any way with the kind of approach you use. You should start to appreciate other people’s opinions and simple facts we’re dealing with here, or, if you don’t like them, react to them in a decent way. If you think opposite, there’s always a decent way to say it. The theory of literature has long ago made its statement, but I think there’s no point of discussing that with you, is it? So, that’s where our conversation must end.
History and reality … History and reality, they both speak strongly against your statement. Dylan is a poet and Young is a songwriter with a series of good songs, but nowhere near Dylan as a poet or a lyricist. Dylan is Dylan and Young is Young and I don’t think any comparisons are legitimate.
I cant stand bob … I cant stand bob dylan i find him to be an arrogant .. he is a good writter tho.. notice tho how all his songs were made famous by other people… thats just my opinon
What could be more … What could be more memorable than when Dylan turned electric and stuck his fingers up to a scene that had embraced him. The show where the guy in the audience shouted ‘Judas’ is considerd by some as the greatest ever live musical performance! Also bare in mind that people like Paul McCartney idolise Dylan and that Dylan has also been nominated for a noble prizee and this year was awarded the pulwitzer prize! Dont get me wrong i love Neil Young too, but like i say i think Dylan is the QED.
i dont think its an … i dont think its an insult to say Neil Young is in the same league as Dylan, its a complement. Dylan is more of a ‘poet’ to me, and Neil more of a ’song’ writer, but thats just semantics. I personally would put Dylan in a league of his own, he completely surpassed Guthrtie in my opinion and i think you talking of Dylan being the second coming of Christ is actually a pretty good analogy. A lot of people could learn a lot about life from Dylan’s songs, i did,. Thank you Bob
i find that a great … i find that a great insult to neil young, why ask a man about another mans life when the man your asking is to some people far more inspiring than a woody guthrie tribute act
i’m sincerely apologetic for speaking out of turn about bob dylan i realise that he is the second coming of jesus christ but so

Bob Dylan is a boring who is so wrapped up in his own self worth it’s cringe worthy.
